Puppet Design and Fabrication

This series of Audrey II puppets was built by Brandon Hardy based on his original designs for the character. The largest two puppets featured moveable lips to enhance the effect of lip-synching to the Plant's songs and dialogue. By the end of the show the biggest Audrey II had grown four 7-foot moving roots and rose to an alarming 11 foot height, lifting the actors (kicking and screaming!) into the air as it ate them.
