This figure is a full-size Replica of "The Hatbox Ghost", a character that was featured for a brief time in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. 

His head was intended to disappear from his neck and reappear in his hatbox . . . but it didn't quite work. He was quietly removed shortly after the attraction's opening, leaving only a few photos and memories as proof of his existence. More information can be found at Doombuggies.com.
